Meet The Team!

Knowing who is caring for you and your pet is a very important first step in the journey of bringing your pet to the vet clinic. This is an important step to start building trust and a great working relationship as we meet you and your pet for the first time, especially when they’re not feeling their best. So we wanted to introduce the doctor team at Furgent Care so you can learn a little bit about each of them.

Furgent Care was created by Dr. Nolan Prock and Dr. Jonah Williams to fill an important need in Virginia Beach - evening and weekend veterinary care. They worked hard to build a compassionate team and to create a collaborative environment.

Dr. Prock was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. He graduated from veterinary school in 2018 from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. He is passionate about working with teams to solve problems and be there to help owners take care of their pets. You can count on complete and thorough care, as well as Dr. Prock’s calm demeanor through hard situations. He took his experience from years in general practice to help develop Furgent Care and its culture of compassion, and high quality patient AND client care. Outside of work he loves soccer and volleyball, surfing, and relaxes by making pottery.

Dr. Williams is from Northern Virginia and graduated from veterinary school in 2018 from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. In the years prior to opening Furgent Care, he served the Northern Virginia community as an emergency medicine veterinarian. Dr. Williams thrives in situations where there are complex problems that require troubleshooting. He puts a lot of emphasis in client communication and education, especially during emergency situations, as understanding allows clients to make educated decisions for their pet and family. He is also an advocate for continued learning, both for himself, and for the team at Furgent Care. He can often be found teaching new skills and helping others around him reach their goals in veterinary medicine. Outside of work, he spends time solving other, non-medical, puzzles like video games, fishing, sometimes woodworking, etc. as well as hiking.

Dr. Alex Larsen grew up in Minnesota, a little bit North of Minneapolis. He then moved to Pullman, Washington where he attended Washington State University for both his undergraduate degree and for veterinary school, graduating in 2020 - Go Cougs! He moved to Virginia Beach after graduation and worked in general practice for 5 years before joining Furgent Care. He is committed to client education, collaborative veterinary care, and treating the whole pet rather than focusing on a single issue. He has a special interest in how nutrition impacts overall health and can help pets live healthier

lives. When he is not in the clinic, he is usually spending time with his wife and dogs, watching his favorite sports teams, and grilling food.

Dr. Elizabeth Robinson was born and raised in upstate South Carolina and graduated from veterinary school at Mississippi State University. In the clinic, she is a strong advocate for animal welfare and always demonstrates a passion for strengthening the human-animal bond with an approach centered on kindness and empathy, no matter the patient or situation. She works hard to empower pet owners with the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions during difficult and stressful times. Aside from that, her special interests in veterinary medicine include surgery, wound care, and ophthalmology. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys beach days, hunting for shark teeth, traveling, hiking, gardening, and spending her free time with family, friends, and her fur babies.
